Yolo Conflict Resolution Center
We work tirelessly to increase harmony in our communities through humane conflict resolution, mediation, and restorative justice services. If chosen for this funding, it will allow us to continue to provide these services and trainings to the Community as well as provide outreach so that folks know that our resources are available to them.
Additionally, as many of us are aware, people are looking for meaningful alternatives to the traditional and punitive-based criminal justice processes. If we are chosen for the funding, we will continue to nurture and expand our partnerships with law enforcement and schools to provide Restorative Justice services as a meaningful way to repair the harms created by crime, poor choices and wrongdoing. We work very closely with youth and their families when youth are finding themselves on a destructive path.
Below is some feedback from those that have used our services-

ALS Association, Greater Sacramento Chapter
ALS is a beast that no one should have to bear. However, at any given time, thousands of Americans are in the battle of their lives. When you hear those three words, “You have ALS”, you only have one option—you must fight to survive with every ounce of your being. Every 90 minutes, someone in our country comes face to face with this scenario.
ALS is 100% fatal and, when it attacks, 90% of the time there is no known cause. It is a disease that kills the motor neurons that send messages from your brain to your muscles, leaving you unable to move, speak, and—ultimately—breathe.
While there is not yet a cure, we can offer hope. The ALS Association Greater Sacramento Chapter is the only organization tackling ALS from all angles, providing compassionate local care, advocacy from Sacramento to Washington D.C., and supporting global research programs to find a cure.
Over the past two years, we have served over 100 people impacted by ALS in Yolo County. We have provided Yolo residents with durable medical equipment, support group meetings to share and connect with others, in-home care grants, and over 200 touchpoints with Chapter Care Service staff who compassionately guide families through their ALS journey.
As a Chapter, we are always evaluating ways to grow and improve our services. One of our strategic goals has been to place a Care Services Coordinator specifically within Yolo County to improve services within your region. Of course, the past year has been challenging, and our Chapter experienced a 30% decrease in revenue due to canceled fundraising efforts. Support from 100 Women Who Care would help to launch improved care services for hundreds over the long term, and make life better for Yolo County residents living with ALS.

Yolo County Children’s Alliance | Working together to help bring success to students and their families
At the Yolo County Children’s Alliance, throughout this pandemic, we witnessed many of the families and
individuals we serve lose their sources of income, and ended up without proper food, shelter, and essential
resources like medical care. While all of us have felt the pangs of the pandemic, children were the most at risk
during this time, and still are as the effects of the pandemic continue, and they make up the largest number of
clients we serve.
Annually, YCCA hosts the Back-to-School Health Fair, where we provide families and children with health
resources, hygiene kits, and a brand new backpack full of school supplies. Last year, we were able to provide for
more than 800 children! The goal of this Back-to-School fair is to provide children with the tools they need to
succeed in school. All students should have the opportunity to get good grades, play sports, and join clubs; YCCA
is the organization that aims to provide these opportunities to children so that they have the tools to succeed,
and that their parents are able to focus on their education, and not the financial stress that health insurance,
groceries, school supplies and backpacks can have on families.
If we are to be the beneficiary of 100 Women Who Give this year, we will be leveraging all funds received and
putting them directly into the purchasing of backpacks, school supplies, and event costs. Most of the families we
serve have three or more children, and purchasing supplies and backpacks is where most of our resources go for
this event. Alongside providing essential supplies, YCCA creates a fun community event for families. This year, we
aim to help give every child that attends the tools for a successful educational experience, and an exciting
experience to kick off the school year.
